Did Vikings visit Oak Island?

Vikings were the first Europeans to settle in North America.


Their most famous settlement is l’Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland. It was found by archaeologists in the 1960s. It is now the site of a national park with a recreated Viking village.

Mysterious rock carvings found in Nova Scotia that look like viking carvings

This and other mysterious rock carvings have been found in Nova Scotia. They resemble Viking rock carvings found in Scandinavia. No one has decyphered them – so far.


Some authors argue that a Viking longship sits at the bottom of the Oak Island Money Pit, like this ship that was dug up in Norway.
